Watts Regulators series 174A boiler pressure relief valves are used in hot water heating and domestic supply boiler applications to protect against excessive pressures on all types of hot water heating supply boiler equipment. It consists of a bronze body construction with NPT threaded female inlet and NPT threaded female outlet (drain) connections, non-metallic disc-to-metal seating, stainless steel spring, and test lever. Series 174A resists corrosive water conditions, sticking and freezing, and prevents water and sediment from being trapped in the seat. It is designed for emergency safety relief and shall not be used as an operating control.

Watts Regulators series LF288A lead free hot or cold water anti-siphon VAC uum breakers prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage. It consists of lead free brass body construction (LF288A) or chrome finish (LF288AC), chemical resistant silicone seat disc and an atmospheric vent to prevent spilling. Series LF288A has a full size orifice to assure pipe size capacity and maximum flow. It is ideal for low flow, non-continuous hot or cold water health hazard installations such as on laboratory equipment.

Watts Regulators series 40L, 40xL automatic reseating temperature and pressure relief valves are used in commercial water heater applications to provide automatic temperature and pressure protection to hot water supply tanks and hot water heaters. They feature a bronze body with NPT male inlet and NPT female outlet connections, unique thermostat with special thermo-bonded coating, tamper-resistant bonnet screws, automatic reseating feature, and test lever. Model 40L has a short thermostat for installation directly in available tank tapings. Model 40xL has an extension thermostat for installation in the hot water outlet within the allowable distance from the top of the tank. Series 40L, 40xL valves are ASME rated and CSA listed.
