Our patent pending design of the fittings features a hood that locks the gasket into the fitting with a straight edge to straight edge force that eliminates the blowout of the gasket. The barbed depressor locks into the gasket, exuding more outward force and pushing the gasket further into place. This depressor is precisely machined for maximum flow and has a dimple that guides the valve core into place. Kobra high pressure hoses are made from Kevlar - the same material that stops bullets in bullet-proof vests. Kevlar makes our hoses strong and flexible, while the nitrile cover extends the life of the hoses better than neoprene. Kobra hoses are made in the USA

The revolutionary patent-pending design on our internal structure significantly reduces blowouts, provides maximum flow and automatically traps refrigerant discharge in the hose. The gasket features a hood with a straight edge that snaps into the straight edge of the barb. This straight edge to straight edge force eliminates gasket blowouts. The depressor is barbed and locks into the gasket, meaning the outward force on the depressor pushes the gasket further into place, resulting in no blowouts. JB also uses a common crimp that grips the full circumference of the hose yielding a maximum hold and uniform seal that prevents leaks and bursts. Our Black Gold is hydro processed, meaning it goes through a series of catalytic steps rendering the oil extremely refined, more viscous, and more stable. The result is clear mineral oil which will alert you to contamination sooner as it becomes cloudy or milky. In extreme temperatures, the oil will be more resistant to contaminants. We still recommend, however, that the oil be changed after every evacuation for maximum performance and pump efficiency.
The best test to see if your oil is contaminated is through a micron gauge. With a leak-free system, if your DV-22N micron gauge is still not reading a deep vacuum, the oil is too contaminated and should be changed. If the micron gauge pulls down to about 50 microns the oil is good."
