Amtrol purge valve purge air from hot water heating systems. they are a bronze combination balance and purge fitting. Amtrol purge valves serve as balancers by adjusting diverter to desired restrictions. Diverter stops flow before it enters the Purge Valve so water will move in one direction through the piping, purging air from the system as water is removed from the drain and replaced by automatic fast fill valve.
